Welcome to Longfield Stone
In the past, we really had gardens down to a fine art. With follies, temples, and ruins, inspired by the Greek and Roman periods, unique and unusual fantasy gardens were created which we continue to enjoy today.

Longfield Stones's vision is to put the enhantment back into gardens by providing the materials to let your imagination run free.
Using classical and contemporary cast architectural and ornamental stonework, we can work directly with you or with your garden designer to fulfil your wildest dreams.
We are also expert mould-makers and can copy almost anything that you would like reproduced.

In addition, we can supply a wide range of cast artefacts gathered from period homes across Europe, as well as fro originals we have created. An example is our temple, which will provide a unique centrepiece to any garden.
We have gargoyles, fountains, sundials, seats, birdbaths, urns, statuary and architectural pieces including niches, tracery and a range of columns in different styles and sizes, with a choice of capitals. All our work can be produced in a stone finish to suit you - golden Cotswold, creamy Bath or white Portland. Or we can give an aged look using out special formula.
Although we work primarily in reconstituted stone, we are also able to cast all of our moulds in plaster, creating a great look for interiors.

Reconstituted or cast stone is often misunderstood. It is a fine medium, being more durable and cost effective than natural stone. It weathers in the same way and can be made to look almost identical to it. It posseses a versatility that allows effects to be created that in natural stone would be impractical or prohibitively expensive. Material similar to modern cast stone has beed in use for centuries, and was even used by the Romans. It is also much in evidence on perios buildings around Britain, although to the untrained eye it is almost impossible to distinguish from natural stone.
